Career details:

Percy played little or no rugby at school but joined the YMCA club when it was restarted in 1920. He soon established himself in the team as a good forward and played regularly for them until the club was disbanded in 1925.

He then joined St Stephens and whilst there came to the notice of the Bath Club. He was selected for Bath A and became a regular team member, becoming captain in 1930/31.

He was a hooker of great ability and a splendid all-round player
