Career details:

South African scrum-half Michael Claassens, arrived at Bath Rugby ahead of the 2007/08 season from the Cheetahs.

Tough and combative, Claassens bosses his pack very well and provides quick service to the backs, earning the reputation as one of the most consistent scrum-halves in the Premiership.

A very experienced player, who earned eight caps for the Springboks between 2004 and 2007 Claassens was one of the most respected players in the Bath squad, both on and off the field.

Played for the all conquering Toulon side after leaving Bath and subsequently signed for Sale Sharks
