Career details: William was a Gas Fitter by trade and was called up to serve in the Somerset Light Infantry in 1916. He was killed in action on the 14th April 1918. He is recorded on the Memorial to the Missing of the Commonwealth Graves Commission  at Ploegsteert in Belgium. He was 37 years of age at the time of his death and left a widow and two children. His picture can be seen in the Bath v Old Crocks 1913 photograph.
