David Dolman.

Born: 1943

Education: City of Bath Boys School and St. Luke’s College, Exeter.

Member of Bath Football Club from 1964 to 1968.

Appearances: made 36 1st XV  appearances at Full Back.

First appearance: 17.09.1964 v Stroud

Final appearance:11.11.1967 v Saracens

Represented Somerset County XV and the Western Counties XV v Australia in 1967.

Played against a France B team (when Bath were on tour) and dropped a goal from the half-way line!

When he retired from playing he turned to coaching and as well as coaching the Keynsham Grammar School teams (he was at that time teaching at the school) in 1972 he was appointed Hon. Coach of the Bath Club continuing until 1974.

Was Hon. Coach of Saracens RFC in the 1976/7 season when they reached the Semi-final of the John Player Cup.

David was also an accomplished cricketer playing for the Lansdown Club for many years. He was a captain of the 1st XI and subsequently became the Hon. President. He was playing member of the MCC and is an ECB Level 3 coach.

Two of David’s pupils were Mike Beese and Geoff Pillinger  both of whom played for the club.
