Career details:

Like his namesake Joe, Sam Clark had an all too brief Bath Rugby career making two appearances for the club in the first season of professionalism (1996/1997). Sam, a prop forward, made his debut in a midweek 71-20 thumping of Wakefield on the 14th December 1996, lining up alongside Chris Horsman and Neil McCarthy in the front row, in a pack that also boasted Nigel Redman, Andy Robinson and Dan Lyle. Despite a reasonable showing in that match, Clark was selected for Bath only one further time in the 26-16 win over the Army that marked Joe Clark’s one and only Bath Rugby match.
