Career details:

Introduced to rugby through the Wessex Engineers side and from there gained a place in Bath Extras.

For a year he worked in Marlborough and played for their 1st XV. When he returned to Bath he regained his place in Bath Extras, playing a number of games for Bath As and assisted the 1st XV on one occasion (1932)

Les was a clever and fast forward – a little on the light side – and, but for his devotion to the Extras, would have gained a place in the As

He was a splendid captain who worked hard , not only for his team, but for the Club in general.
