Wayne Sprangle was another youngster to come through the Bath Rugby Academy who, as with many others, was handed a 1st XV team start in the pre-season match with the Celtic Warriors at Sardis Road, Pontypridd’s home ground, in a back row that also included new signings Isaac Fea’unati and James Scaysbrook. This chance came on the back of representation for the club at the 2003 Middlesex Sevens at Twickenham. Wayne furthered his rugby education with a loan spell at Launceston, but despite that was released from Bath’s books in 2004. He represented the Somerset County XV on numerous occasions and played for Plymouth Albion. He is currently the Head Coach at Bridgwater & Albion RFC.
