Career details:

Much travelled scrum half Steve Hatley made 23 appearances for Bath (scoring three tries), from 1997-1999, making his debut as a replacement for Ricky Pellow in a 60-15 win over Oxford University. The tall half back also crossed for three tries while with Bath, one at home to Bedford in October 1998 and a brace in a thumping win at West Hartlepool a fortnight later. Originally with Western Province in his native South Africa, Hatley was used in a rotation system with Pellow and Andy Nicol, and thus was freed to join London Irish in 1999,where he teemed up with several other Southern Hemisphere players.  After a brief spell with the Exiles Hatley moved on again, this time heading North and signing for Sale Sharks and appearing briefly for Fylde, on loan, after recovering from injury.
